With so many products available, how do you choose a DVR? Don’t look at all the different systems available, first look at the following list from Syntech and make your choices from there.
Audio: Do you need to have your cameras linked with an audio feed? Most DVR’s allow for audio input/output.
Frame rate: How many frames can it record per second? The higher the frame rate, the better the picture and the real-time image. Most recorders in the South African market work on the PAL system and are therefore able to view up to 25 frames per second per channel.
Resolution: The better your resolution the more detail your recorded images will be:
QCIF - 176 x 120 pixels
CIF - 352 x 240 pixels
D1 - 704 x 480 pixels
960H - 960 x 480 pixels
