KCB Bank Tanzania

1 May 2019 Surveillance, Products & Solutions

KCB Bank Tanzania is the biggest commercial bank in eastern Africa. It aims to speed up regional enterprises financing and local economic development. In 2017, KCB bank Tanzania planned to build a modern and intelligent CCTV system to increase security and optimise business operations.

The security challenge included the need for the CCTV system to cover and connect more than 20 branch locations. The solution also needed the ability to affordably store large a quantity of data for extended periods of time

To meet these needs, Uniview delivered a cost-effective and intelligent solution to help KCB Bank to upgrade its CCTV system. This system used VMS-B200 for centralized management. For recording, the system combined distributed storage and central backup mode to guarantee the safety of video. In addition, UNV Ultra265 video compression technology saves up to 95% of storage space.

Highlights

Auto tracking: Once a moving object enters a forbidden area, the path can be tracked and traced by UNV 2MP PTZ dome camera which has 20X optical zoom.

Unified management: UNV VMS-B200 server is managing over 200 cameras from 23 branches. The VMS-B200 was also integrated with third-party access control from ZKTeco to realise unified management and control.

Ultra265: All network cameras and NVRs from Uniview support advanced video compression Ultra265, which can reduce the bandwidth up to 95%.
