Turnstar

This year, Turnstar will be exhibiting key new features of the Velocity high speed traffic barrier. The additions include the integrated red and green LED in the aluminium barrier arm and rubber protective profile to limit damage in the event of a collision. Also on display will be the new design folding skirt and an ultra-high speed integrated spike barrier with under 1 second operation. The Velocity barrier offers high speed operation of under 1.2 seconds and battery backup in the event of load shedding.

The Brushless DC motor drive system ensures smooth operation. All torque and speed control during the motion of the barrier is handled by the on-board controller. A mechanical override to open the barrier is easy to use and doesn’t require any special tools and a dual channel loop detector ensures that the installer has safety covered.

The Turnstar Fusion turnstile will also be on display which bridges the world between prestige and industrial turnstiles. With a toughened glass frame and a steel tube rotor, the turnstile offers an aesthetic solution combined with the high security of an industrial turnstile. Also on display, will be the BLDC torque motor which is ideal for upgrading an existing AC torque motor barrier to a barrier with battery backup, collision detection and superior power efficiency.
