Access in the mobile era

April 2019 Products & Solutions, Access Control & Identity Management

Suprema’s BioStar 2 Mobile Card enables today’s organisations to support the needs of a mobile credential solution in a mobile world. BioStar 2 Mobile Card offers convenience to end-users by storing biometric information, to function as a credential, in their own smartphones. Compared to RF cards, smartphones are less likely to be lost or shared, easier to manage and in this case more cost effective than cards.

Securing the privacy of sensitive identity data is more important than ever and RF cards are vulnerable to being cloned. BioStar 2 Mobile Card is highly secured as it stores user’s private information, in an encrypted format, only in the individual’s smartphone.

Mobile cards are an authentication means capable of completely replacing existing plastic cards, and they help you build the most convenient and innovative mobile access control solutions.

Credential issuance has never been simpler. Mobile cards are both iOS and Android compatible and can be issued through BioStar 2 on the administrator’s PC or directly from BioStar 2 Mobile.

BioStar 2 Mobile enables you to freely control BioStar 2 anywhere, anytime on your smart device. Developed based on BioStar 2’s web APIs, BioStar 2 Mobile provides services appropriate for the mobile era, including user information registration, BioMini-based fingerprint registration, door control, real-time door and zone status notification, and access control event monitoring.

All of Suprema’s latest readers, including Xpass S2, support NFC (Near Field Communication), with FaceStation 2, Xpass D2 and BioLite N2 also supporting BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

BioStar 2 Mobile is available for download on the App Store or Google Play.
