PSiRA launches mobile app

August 2018 News & Events, Security Services & Risk Management

PSiRA (The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) has launched a mobile app for the Android and Apple platforms to make is easier and more convenient for registered private security companies and the public to interact and obtain information from the organisation.

Among the app’s current uses is the ability for the industry to communicate with PSiRA or book time to meet with people from the organisation. Members of the public can also use it to verify that security providers doing work for them are registered with PSiRA – customers can be liable if they use the services of unregistered service providers.

The app will also provide news updates regarding the private security industry in South Africa, as well as contact and address locations for PSiRA offices around the country. In addition, it will serve as an information source for those wishing to learn more about PSiRA or to register with the organisation.

The organisation says more features will be added in future releases. Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store.
