New faces at UTC SA

A number of new people have joined the Johannesburg office of UTC Southern Africa over the past few weeks.

Gregory Collyer
Gregory Collyer

Gregory Collyer has joined as the Lenel RSM SSA. Collyer’s career began in London, in the UK, with Thomas McDaniel and Securidor where he spent five years installing and supporting security solutions. He has also worked in Canada and the USA, but the bulk of his career was with Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure, where he started as a solution architect within the Data Centre Infrastructure Division, progressing to senior solution architect and then onto practice manager for the Integrated Security Division which offered customers full service security solutions.

Maureen Coetzee
Maureen Coetzee

Maureen Coetzee has been appointed as an account manager. Coetzee started out as a qualified pharmacist technician, but ended up in the electronic security industry 21 years ago. During her security career, Coetzee focused primarily on distribution and the channel, working for well-known companies such as Security Warehouse, and the Regal Group, as well as in the ICT distribution market working for Pinnacle Holdings. Her product experience ranges from servers and networking on the ICT side, through to CCTV, access control and fire safety.

Hennie Lowe
Hennie Lowe

Hennie Lowe has also been tasked with the role of account manager at UTC. He started his career with SAPS in 1987 and worked as a firearm instructor and detective until 1998 when he went to the private sector. He held a number of positions, such as national sales manager for SESCO before starting his own alarm monitoring, response and guarding business, which he sold in 2015. After that he was national sales manager for TechSec, honing his skills in the security technology industry before joining UTC. He says joining UTC was an easy decision, given the global reach of the company and the full range and quality of its products.
