New biometrics terminals

October 2017 Access Control & Identity Management, Training & Education

Anviz SA has announced the release of a new generation W1 and W2 biometric fingerprint terminals and the Crosschex Cloud service from Anviz Global. Anviz SA is the factory representative and master distributor for Anviz Global in sub-Sahara Africa, with offices based in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Both the W1 and W2 are Linux-based biometric terminals and makes use of either the standard Crosschex software or the cloud-based Crosschex Cloud software service. The W1 is a standalone/networkable T&A (time and attendance) terminal aimed at SOHO T&A applications. It offers the following features:

• 2.8-inch colour LCD.

• 3000 fingerprint capacity.

• 3000 RFID proximity card capacity.

• Numerical keypad.

• 100 000 event log capacity.

• TCP/IP.

• Mini-USB.

• On-board webserver.

The W2 is a standalone/networkable access control and T&A terminal for SOHO and SMME applications. It offers:

• 2.8-inch colour LCD.

• 3000 fingerprint capacity.

• 3000 RFID proximity card capacity.

• Numerical keypad.

• 100 000 event log capacity.

• RS-485 communication.

• Wiegand OUT.

• TCP/IP.

• Mini-USB.

• On-board webserver.

Both the W1 and W2 can make use of the Crosschex Cloud software solution. Crosschex Cloud is a free to use employee management system. The system was built to leverage the power of cloud computing for time and attendance tracking. Traditional time and attendance solutions fall short for most businesses as they do not provide real-time data when, where, and how the business administrator needs it. Crosschex Cloud will soon also feature mobile applications and employee self service modules.
