Dahua unveils hybrid thermal

July 2017 Products & Solutions, Surveillance, Fire & Safety

Dahua has launched an entry-level mini-hybrid thermal bullet camera, the DH-TPC-BF2120. Featuring a small size, dual-channel spectrum and intelligent functions, it is aimed at commercial installations.

The DH-TPC-BF2120 sports ingress protection with an IP67 rating. It also includes advanced image analysis and intelligent algorithms for optical cameras and fully integrates them into the thermal camera. This camera combines one thermal camera and one optical camera with a Sony STARVIS sensor.

The camera supports multiple intelligent functions meeting the demand of daily video surveillance, fire hazard warnings and alarm message delivery. Using thermal technology, the DH-TPC-BF2120 is able to discover hidden flames quickly and effectively. It precisely locates the fire, allowing timely emergency response to resolve the issue before it gets out of hand.

Multiple DH-TPC-BF2120 thermal cameras can be used to form a perimeter intruder detection system, which performs as an invisible tripwire using thermal imaging. When installed at the recommended height of five metres and with an FOV of 56°x44°, one camera covers 29 metres.

Large internal spaces with stock presents a fire hazard which is difficult to detect by a traditional smoke sensor. Dahua’s thermals offer an alternative to guard places such as warehouses, exhibition halls, etc, against fires.

Supporting ONVIF, the camera is compatible with mainstream third-party VMS platforms in the market, such as Genetec, Milestone as well as Dahua’s DSS (Dahua Security Software).
