Eurobyte to distribute Uniview

Eurobyte has announced it is the official distributor of the Uniview range of surveillance technology products in the South African market. The range caters for small commercial applications all the way up to large enterprise solutions.

The range of Uniview products has features that include built-in analytics on all cameras, H.265 + u coding which enhances compression beyond H.265, 4K resolution, 300 m POE capabilities, starlight and more.

The range of NVRs has also been designed to incorporate innovative features which include cloud upgrading (for NVRs and cameras), cloud access with P2P, smart search, smart playback, built-in PoE+ switch, up to 300 m transmission distance, 4K and H.265, ANR (automatic network replenishment) and enhanced protection against cyber attacks.

The enterprise NVRs range from 16 to 128 channels, 16 to 48 HDDs, RAID, 24/8 alarm I/O, 512 Mbps input and 384 Mbps output, redundant power supplies, 4K and H.265 capabilities. Unique to Uniview is Unicorn, which features 1000 devices and 2000 channel inputs.

The software is an open VMS and fully compatible with Milestone, Macroscop, ISS, Seventh, Digifort, Genetic, Axon, Nuuo and Avigilon. Tony Yang from Uniview had this to say about the partnership: “Eurobyte has rich experience in the IP video surveillance distribution field and the partnership fits well for us. We see a mutual win for both companies”.

The partnership between Eurobyte Technology and Uniview means a range of solutions from basic installations all the way through to complex builds for the South African market. For mid- to high-end projects this means a much wider range with abundant features. However, there is also a selection of cost-performance products for the entry level market.
