Suprema BioEntry W2

November 2016 Products & Solutions, Access Control & Identity Management

No matter the environment, Suprema’s latest fingerprint access control terminal, BioEntry W2 is the perfect fit, indoors or outdoors.

Packed in a rugged IP67/IK08 housing with sleek metal finish, BioEntry W2 offers superior ingress protection against invasive moisture, dust, and even liquids. By combining reinforced resin with Suprema’s sophisticated engineering, BioEntry W2 is able to withstand a high level of impact, making it vandal-resistant.

BioEntry W2 features a class-leading 1,2 GHz Quad-core CPU that enhances user experience by offering world’s best matching speed (1:150 000/second), precise control of locking devices, and quick response for users. It stores and manages up to 500 000 users (1:1); or 100 000 users (1:N) and 1 million logs.

BioEntry W2 is the most secure device in its class. It combines an enhanced fingerprint algorithm, new fingerprint sensor, and live finger detection technology. The new Suprema fingerprint algorithm significantly reduces false rejection rates to improve security levels. It compensates for unsatisfactory fingerprint captures such as direct sunlight conditions or distorted finger images. BioEntry W2 also features Suprema’s patented live fingerprint detection technology, which effectively eliminates possible fraud using various fake fingerprint materials including clay, rubber, silicon, paper and film.

The W2 also features dual-frequency RFID technology and supports both LF (125 kHz) and HF (13,56 MHz) RFID including all RFID standards that HID multiCLASS readers support. Over and above fingerprint credentials, BioEntry W2 can support most types of RFID card standards with a single device including MIFARE, HID iCLASS, DESFire, FeliCa, HID Prox, EM and NFC.

BioEntry W2 features seamless power sourcing over Ethernet cable (CAT5/6) without any degrading network performance and reach, and comes with not only a TCP/IP interface, but also more traditional interfaces (RS-485, Wiegand) to provide higher flexibility and multiple installation options for different environments.
