Security lighting for CCTV is a must for any life-style estate, business park or secure installation. However, users are demanding more discrete security lighting that does not disturb residents or road users external to the estate. The answer is infrared illumination that is visible to a CCTV camera and invisible to people.
BFR Digital has recently launched a new range of powerful LED infrared illuminators. Using the latest LED and lens technologies, BFR achieves even infrared illumination without hotspots up to 150 metres from only 24 watts. Its lenses offer a rectangular beam designed to match the rectangular field of view of the camera sensor. The beam widths are optimised for different focal length camera lenses.
Its illuminators are powered from an IEEE802.3at PoE port and incorporate 2-event PoE classification recognition. This allows for cable lengths up to 100 m reducing the costs of electrical reticulation. The PoE interface features under-voltage lockout, overvoltage lockout and comprehensive thermal protection. The illuminator can be operated through an internal day/night switch or manually through a dry contact input.
