OPTEX and IDS join forces

IDS, in partnership with OPTEX, has successfully been transforming perceptions of security professionals in the wireless detection space since the launch of the X-Wave solution. Through in-depth market research and control groups, IDS and OPTEX were able to isolate, address and define the key areas of concerns around wireless technology, namely; RF jamming, range, battery life, supervision, signal, interchangeability, difficult installations and cost.

IDS was able, with the help of OPTEX, to develop and release a solution which combated all these concerns while ensuring this technology remained accessible to the vast majority of emerging market installers. The X-Wave solution now provides the entire OPTEX low current range with full reporting of alarms, RF jamming, tamper, low battery and supervision.

Understanding the limitation of proprietary developments, IDS has also recently included the 8-channel generic receiver to this range, ensuring the same simple, safe and supervised transmission, only now also available to all other alarm panels on the market.

With an ever growing demand for outdoor wireless solutions, the X-Wave solution is poised for rapid growth and uptake.
