Sunell launches new range of NVRs

March 2016 Surveillance, Products & Solutions

Sunell Technology has released a new range of network video recorders (NVRs) designed to support its camera portfolio with reliable recording, storage and playback of data for any surveillance scenario.

The NVRs boast a new user interface, designed for easy use by customers, whether accessing video directly from the NVR, via the Web, or from a PC client. Setting up a surveillance solution has also been simplified to allow users to access all the functions they require quickly and with minimal effort.

The new range covers all the recording requirements of professional clients, from 4-channel to 32-channel systems that can accommodate between one and eight hard drives. To support companies deploying Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) solutions, Sunell also offers between 4 and 16 PoE channels, depending on the model chosen. All the new NVRs support the recording and playback of video streams of up to 6 megapixels per stream.

Loyal Sunell customers will be pleased to know that their existing surveillance cameras and NVRs can be used with the new range of NVRs. All customers need to do is upgrade the firmware of their current Sunell products to take advantage of the new capabilities.

In order to allow users with a variety of cameras – from Sunell and other vendors – to benefit from the new NVRs, the company has made the range ONVIF compatible. This will streamline the integration of multiple cameras with the recorders and allow clients to make full use of the NVRs even with their existing systems.

To demonstrate its confidence in new NVR range, Sunell has released both the PoE and non-PoE NVRs with a groundbreaking three-year warranty.

To manage the video feeds from their cameras, Sunell customers are also provided with the IMS (Inview Management Station) PC software. This application makes selecting different views, managing storage requirements and controlling bandwidth usage simple for operators of various skill levels.

The new range of NVRs from Sunell is already available in South Africa and Sunell’s channel partners are ready to support customers in all their surveillance requirements.
