February 2016 News & Events, Access Control & Identity Management

Anviz Global announced the launch of its South African branch in November 2015, trading under the name Anviz SA. The announcement was made at a press conference at Montecasino in Johannesburg to mark Anviz’s entry into southern Africa.

The new branch provides Anviz with its first physical presence on the African continent, signifying the company’s long-term commitment to develop Africa’s intelligent security industry. The company’s offices are located in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Entry into the southern Africa market has enabled Anviz to expand its international footprint. Currently Anviz operates seven global offices – US, China, Hong Kong, Argentina, UK and Portugal, and now South Africa.

Anviz SA provides a full range of intelligent security solutions suited to a diverse customer range from SMB to enterprise level in Africa. The company’s extensive distribution channels, with staff and agents in key regional markets, extend its ability to maximise local market opportunities flexibly and efficiently. Anviz brings to the market a rich expertise in the biometric industry and continued development of integration between biometrics and other high-technology security products.

Anviz SA is led by Garth Du Preez, a seasoned security professional in the South African market. Du Preez brings more than 15 years of deep business experience and knowledge in biometric and integrated security markets. He is well-known across the southern Africa region with distributors, system integrators, solution providers and large enterprise level industry participants.

“Market opportunities are abundant in Africa, particularly in the security industry where providing secure, affordable and reliable solutions easily increases business efficiency and profit margins,” said Du Preez.
