Financing for security solutions

February 2016 News & Events

Suprema distributor, neaMetrics, has partnered with AbiScan, a financier of technology specialising in off-balance-sheet transactions.

Tighter budget constraints during economic times of doom-and-gloom are typical and, of course, necessary. But why should the client settle for less. It makes more sense to make smarter choices by investing in quality products that will last. By smarter, we mean effective financing of technology, thereby removing capital requirements, with positive tax benefits, and no compromise on state-of-the-art technology that works.

“neaMetrics’ partnership with AbiScan means that our valued partner network can now offer an alternative funding option to their clients, with associated benefits of off-balance-sheet financing such as no capital outlay (protection of cash), tax benefits (fully tax deductible) and, most importantly, purchases reflected as an operating expense in the income statement with no impact on the balance sheet, resulting in an almost immediate realisation of the positive benefits introduced by the technology,” says Walter Rautenbach, MD of neaMetrics.

As system integrators, offering an Operating Lease to your client means that your relationship is entrenched, there is an opportunity to protect, expand and upgrade your client’s solutions. By offering your clients an Operating Lease, shorter sales cycles are possible and your cash flow is protected in that your debtor’s days will be reduced.

“AbiScan provides Off-Balance-Sheet (OBS) finance, also known as an Operating Lease, to businesses in South Africa and promotes the commercial model that it is better to spend cash on assets and projects that generate income rather than on technology that depreciates and rapidly changes,” says Mark Simpson, MD of AbiScan.

The types of technology that AbiScan finances include access control, time and attendance, CCTV solutions and fire detection systems.
