Enterprise video management solution

1 November 2015 Products & Solutions, Surveillance, Integrated Solutions

Cedric Greeves, sales leader: Tyco Integrated Fire & Security South Africa, expands on the capabilities of the Victor Unified Management System.

“The ability to centralise video management ensuring high-end live video recording at a head office, for example, while at the same time ensuring video surveillance at branches, albeit it being a lower quality, is a specific feature we have not seen offered in other products,” explains Greeves.

He explains that from a single interface, Victor lets you manage live/recorded video across a multitude of Tyco Security Products’ recorders – Intellex DVRs, ADTVR, VideoEdge NVRs/Hybrids, and exacqVision. This means that progressive clients looking to establish an enterprise-wide video recording can now procure exactly what they need at site level depending on the specific site requirements. For example, a customer with multiple locations can opt to use a basic DVR at a branch, a high-end NVR at a data centre or corporate offices, while still being able to manage all the video from a central/ multiple operator station(s).

“Victor is designed to handle the high throughput of HD and megapixel cameras and easily manages real-time alarms and events. It includes advanced policy management, health monitoring, Smart Search, instant playback, and more.”

Victor Express is designed to support the needs of single client, multi-recorder applications. Victor Professional is designed for systems with multiple sites and/or multiple recorders that require multiple operator client connections, and unification or integration to other systems. Victor Enterprise is designed for large, multi-site businesses or large distributed systems, and can be part of a MAS/SAS (Master and Satellite Application Server) environment with C•CURE 9000 Access management system.

A few of its features include:

• Smart Search which enables you to search days of video in seconds;

• Add-on advanced video analytics trigger alarms and facilitate post-event investigation;

• Heat mapping shows foot traffic patterns and consumer shopping activity;

• Device auto discovery automatically discovers recorders and cameras;

• Conduct time and date searches across multiple recorders simultaneously;

• 360° camera dewarping; and

• Local storage video vaulting and external storage archiving.
