Increasing customer service

While EAS systems are generally viewed as security and risk management solutions, which they are, Bonita Read, TagTron’s Gauteng business manager, explains they are also a means to improved customer service.

“EAS assists retailers to better manage store inventory, reduce lost sales and afford staff members more time to spend with customers,” Read says. “It can further be used to increase customer service and satisfaction by reducing out-of-stock situations and low inventory by having more high-risk products on display and within customers’ reach at any given time.”

TagTron’s RFID solutions can be integrated into third-party management solutions, such as the KemasNet Systems. This allows companies to extend the value of their RFID systems into areas such as access control, asset management (track & trace) and HR, amongst others. It also allows for more efficient man­aging of assets, firearms and keys (to name just a few examples), through the intelligent integration of RFID with CCTV and biometric identification of employees, contractors and visitors.
