Access control and T&A integration

September 2015 Access Control & Identity Management, Products & Solutions

When researching access control solutions, clients often overlook whether these systems offer integrated time and attendance functionality, or whether a system supports integration with a time and attendance system provided by a different vendor. While the two types of systems can operate independently it is highly beneficial for these systems to be integrated.

Eco Time Technology offers integrated access control in its CSTime system. This provides the client with the following benefits :

1. Time and attendance and access control information is configured once and reported, per employee or group, through the CSTime software user interface.

2. Biometric data can be distributed between all time and attendance and access control hardware devices remotely through the CSTime software user interface.

3. Time and attendance and access control rules can be applied per employee or group through a single software user interface.

4. Reports can combine both time and attendance and access control information per employee or department.

5. The duplication of work that results when running two different systems is eliminated.

6. Company rules for Pathing can be enforced within an integrated system i.e. the system can insist that an employee clocks out at the end of his shift before allowing him to clock through a turnstile. The CSTime system will not allow him to leave the premises before he has clocked out for time and attendance.

CSTime software can also be integrated with other popular access control systems such as Impro. Eco Time Technology’s systems are developed in South Africa, with offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.
