Suprema BioStation 2

July 2015 Access Control & Identity Management, Products & Solutions

Designed to provide matching and authentication speeds that can be described as instant, BioStation 2 leverages powerful hardware and sophisticated algorithms allowing it to match and authenticate fingerprints up to 20 000 per second.

BioStation 2’s massive memory capacity can manage up to 1 000 000 fingerprint templates, which translates to 500 000 maximum users.

Rapid Data Transfer drastically improves the transfer speed of user and log data enabling BioStation 2 to send user data, which includes large biometric data, at a rate of 5 000 users per minute.

The new OP5 sensor allows BioStation 2 to capture and process much clearer fingerprint images in less than ideal conditions. The sensor offers excellent wet and dry fingerprint capture performance, perfect for use in harsh conditions.

BioStation 2’s IP65 certified weather-proof exterior gives system designers the freedom to place the terminal either indoors or outdoors.

BioStation 2 features a standard TCP/IP, RS-485 interface for main communication between devices and to the server. It also supports traditional RS-232, USB and Wiegand interfaces to provide maximum versatility.
