CSTime integrated with ZK hardware

June 2015 Access Control & Identity Management

Over six months ago, the development project that entailed interfacing the CSTime Software with ZK hardware was completed. The successful in-house testing was followed by a several real-life beta trial installations at customers. These trials all went as well as expected.

The CSTime Software provides users with Time and Attendance functionality. The initial configuration of shifts, automation of management reports, and the payroll interface does require expert assistance from Eco Time. After training has been provided to the client’s HR personnel, they find that working daily with the CSTime Software is easy.

Eco Time Technology chose to partner with the ZK hardware range as it is established in the South African market, well priced and has a proven track record. There is a large base of companies using ZK hardware locally. By taking up a CSTime Software licence with Eco Time Technology, they can now enhance their workforce management processes significantly.

The Rostering and HR modules are supplied with CSTime Software at no additional charge. Rostering is invaluable in managing your workforce where your staff do not always work predetermined shift patterns, and change sporadically from one shift to another at short notice. Rostering allows one to allocate an employee to a shift that differs from that which they normally work, just for a given day. This can be done for a predetermined future shift pattern in order to pre-roster staff on various shifts.

The HR Management module is designed to eliminate paper based systems and to make information more readily (but selectively) available to managers, such as:

• Disciplinary history of each employee.

• Training courses attended, passed etc. for each employee.

• Tracking of equipment issued to each employee.

• Career history of each employee.

The HR module includes comprehensive Leave Management functionality. Traditionally, staff leave has been tracked through the payroll system, from which managers/supervisors are precluded access; so they are in the dark about their staff’s leave balances and their track record for sick leave. By managing leave in the CSTime system, managers can view their own department’s leave balances.
