Bringing intelligence into retail solutions

March 2015 Retail (Industry), Conferences & Events

Tyco Retail Solutions was also exhibiting at the breakfast event and Mark Simpson, sales leader for Tyco Retail Solutions South Africa, had this to say: “Having a presence at this event opened the opportunity to network with existing and potential customers. Technology is advancing rapidly so these events give us a platform to speak about these advancements and keep the industry up-to-date. It was definitely worthwhile participating.”

Tyco Retail Solutions was promoting several products at the Retail Risk breakfast, among these were the following:

TrueVUE 5.0 is the latest version of Tyco’s flagship retail software suite and an extension of its TrueVUE Retail Platform. Customers can receive mobile reports via iOS devices to monitor key store performance metrics anywhere, anytime. “Access to key metrics empowers retail associates to better manage operations and enhance shopper experience,” says Simpson.

The TrueVUE app is available in Apple App Stores, and provides access to Tyco Retail Solutions’ loss prevention, traffic and inventory metrics from any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device. By arming retail field and store level associates with key data metrics on demand, they are empowered to make better decisions, fuelling operational improvements.

“Our store performance and security solutions reach across a broad array of mission-critical retail operations to capture, interpret, report and intelligently respond to real-time operational data from stores, employees, inventory and shoppers. These solutions leverage a common integration approach to hardware devices and systems, reporting and user interfaces to help retailers lower operating and ownership costs, optimise asset investments, decrease obsolescence, and maximise scalability and extensibility.”

Sensormatic EAS

The Sensormatic source tagging program offers a number of important benefits, it:

• Enables more accurate on-shelf inventory, open merchandising and less shrink.

• Makes it easier for customers to enjoy their shopping experience without having items inaccessible in locked cabinets or on cables.

• Offers the freedom to display products openly to customers, standardise product displays and reduce losses while increasing sales.

• Allows for easy application and removal by employees, enhanced productivity and greater security.

The Traffic Intelligence Solution provides valuable insights that can drive increased retail performance by correlating real-time shopper and associated behaviour patterns against sales transactions, time and attendance, and marketing activities.

The Traffic Intelligent Solution enables retailers to identify important customer trends, such as peak shopping hours, traffic counts, sales conversion ratios, tracking and trending sales per staff member and department, as well as help measure advertising effectiveness.
