Updated interface to Net2 Entry

October 2014 Access Control & Identity Management

In line with Paxton’s ethos of listening to and exceeding the expectations of its customer base, the company has announced an upgrade to Net2 Entry-v2.13 – its smart, simple door entry system.

Net2 Entry offers a scalable, flexible approach with just three components that plug together and units that auto detect for easy plug and play installation. Recent developments to the range have included vandal resistance and SIP compatibility. SIP compatibility allows customers to answer their Net2 Entry panel from any SIP enabled device such as a smartphone.

Always seeking to provide the best solution to its customers, the market leader of electronic IP access control and SIP compatible door entry equipment continuously strives to improve its product offering. In response to installer and user feedback, Net2 Entry v2.13 delivers an updated interface for improved user-experience and server backup for added peace of mind.

The ring volume is now adjustable and can be set at the panel for added convenience, avoiding disruption to neighbours in residential areas.

New monitor icons and images, such as ‘call not answered’ for video voicemail, provide an improved layout for a more intuitive and easy to navigate system.

Video voicemail functionality updates include implementation of the timestamp feature to show the date and time a voicemail was received, an inbox indicator displaying the quantity of messages a user has, and a red LED on the handset that flashes when a new message is received. These features help users stay on top of their messaging and organise their inbox.

Software updates include a new demo mode, which allows installers to demonstrate the system prior to hardwire installation to ensure user confidence. The panel now also supports SIP backup server, providing users with peace of mind in the eventuality that the primary server fails.

Adam Stroud, chief executive of the Paxton Group, said: “We are constantly listening to the needs of the security market and are committed to developing our products with the aim of delivering solutions our customers are asking for.

“This latest software upgrade, v2.13, is available free of charge and demonstrates Paxton’s continued dedication to making our customers’ lives easier. We hope that this expansion to our popular door entry system means that customers get even more from Net2 Entry.”
