General-purpose surge arrester

Saltek’s SLP-440V (S) is a single-pole, pluggable varistor and spark-gap-based surge arrester designed for general-purpose use in LV installations. The arrester has a fast response time and protects against overvoltage effects induced during a lightning strike. The Class 2 surge arrester features a replaceable varistor module, visual fault signalling, remote indication and is designed for use at the boundary of LPZ 1 and LPZ 2.

Suitable for mounting on a DIN rail, the surge arrester has a nominal 20 kA (8/20 s) discharge current, a 25 ns response time and meets IP20 and IEC61643-11 requirements. If required, multi-pole and other special voltage types are available on request.
