Local companies make waves internationally

March 2014 News & Events

neaMetrics, authorised distributor of Suprema in Africa, recently attended Suprema’s Global Partnership Program in Seoul. Around 50 security and biometric specialists from around the globe attended this annual event where Suprema highlights its vision, latest products and technologies.

Partners attending were given the opportunity to showcase their solutions using Suprema technology. Some local product highlights that featured included:

* ProSync pocketOps, the workforce management smartphone app that enables managers to control Suprema devices from their smartphone, view statistics and graphs, manage alarms and interact with the control room. The latest enhancements include GPSign-in, Photo evidence/collaboration and GPStaff-track. pocketOps is fully integrated with EasyRoster.

* i-Trust SignOn logical access is an R&D project geared to evolve into a biometric suite to capture and securely manage biometric identities in all aspects of life. Fully integrated into the current Microsoft Windows Security Accounts Management, i-Trust SO allows you to easily make use of biometric authentication with Suprema hardware for Microsoft Windows. Built-in account network distribution allows administrators to transfer accounts from machine to machine centrally within their enterprise making logical access control and administration that much easier.

* SmartProtect which links all access control events from BioStar (Suprema’s access control management system) to Milestone, linking specific camera feeds to Suprema access readers. The SmartProtect plug-in stores the access events next to the video feed related to accessing the premises.

neaMetrics also demonstrated the ProSync Workforce Management solution which enables fingerprint biometrics in Easy Roster Deployment Manager, as well as the SupreMOBILE, which mobilises select Suprema readers in a portable and rugged suitcase.

“We always look forward to this annual event as it gives us the opportunity to share the work that we do in Africa,” says Walter Rautenbach, MD at neaMetrics. “It allows us to commit on next year’s product releases and to measure our success in the year that has passed. Understanding international needs and trend setters in the market is essential, and adopting to deliver on the same is the reason we selected the Suprema product seven years ago.”
