Virdi Joburg moves to larger facilities

March 2014 News

In line with growing demand from the Gauteng market, Virdi Distribution moved to larger facilities on 1 December 2013.

“Virdi Distribution has a well-established client base in the Western Cape, where we are reputed for our high-quality biometric access technology,” said Deon van Rensburg, manager for ViRDI Africa.

In 2012 the company established a small satellite office in Edenvale, Johannesburg, which provided customers in the region with immediate access to products and technical support. “However, we have seen a pleasing growth in the popularity of the product range over the past two years and this has prompted our decision to expand our operations,” said Van Rensburg.

The new premises include corporate offices, increased storage space, as well as repair and training facilities. The staff of three is responsible for technical support, administration and sales.

“The move to the larger facilities is in line with our strategic plans to grow our customer footprint and increase our distribution network. Being located in Gauteng provides us with easier access to African countries such as Zambia, Ghana Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya,” said Van Rensburg.
