Cathexis expands its African operation

Cathexis Africa has appointed three new staff members to expand its growth into the South African and African market. “The latest Cathexis IP Video Management Software suite has opened many new doors for us and we see major growth in our traditional markets as well as into the African continent,” says MD, Gus Brecher.

“The extended team is expected to enhance the support of our existing and new channel partners, launch our drive into Africa and increase our exposure to end-users and consultants.”

Ross Joughin
Ross Joughin

Ross Joughin has been appointed as African sales manager and will be responsible for managing sales and sales support efforts throughout South Africa and Africa. Ross has 13 years of experience in managing sales and marketing in IT distribution and the value added reseller market and is well suited to this role in a high-technology company. Ross has a passion for people and innovative technology.

Dene Alkema
Dene Alkema

Dene Alkema has been appointed as an account manager for the Gauteng region. Dene joins us with seven years of experience in the security and, more specifically, the access control and identity management industry. His experience in a similar industry with many common market players affords us good relationship continuity. His background also complements Cathexis' focus on third-party integration and project driven customisation.

Robyn Schwartz
Robyn Schwartz

Robyn Schwartz has been appointed account manager for the East Coast region. Robyn has 10 years of account management and sales experience in the IT industry. She comes highly recommended by all her previous clients and is expected to enhance the service to existing and future clients in the region.

“We are really excited to have these guys on board in this new, exciting phase for Cathexis. I am confident that we will start to see the results of these appointments very soon,” says Brecher.
