JVC has introduced its Super LoLux Series of digital video recorders for the professional CCTV market. Available in 4-channel, 8-channel and 16-channel models, the affordable standalone DVRs use H.264 video compression for high reliability and superior definition.
Each channel supports dual stream and can be independently configured for resolution, frame rate, bit rate, image quality, and normal and event recording parameters. The main stream supports encoding at up to WD1 resolution in real time, with sub stream at CIF/QCIF resolution.
The VR-D1008-1 TB and VR-D1016-1 TB include an internal 1 TB hard drive, while the VR-D1004-500 includes a 500 GB hard drive. External storage, including SATA hard drives and network drives, can be connected for additional storage. Video data can be exported using a SATA storage device or via the USB port in the front of each unit.
For local monitoring, the Super LoLux Series offers simultaneous HDMI, VGA, and CVBS outputs, with HDMI and VGA output at up to 1920x1080p resolution. Playback can also be monitored remotely via the Web interface. The new DVRs can also be controlled with smartphones and tablet devices using the SLLPRO Mobile app, which is available for free download.
Digital zoom of video is available in live view or playback mode, and smart searching allows efficient searching by event or tags. Other features include privacy mask and support for several PTZ protocols, plus motion detection, tamper-proof, video exception, and video loss alarm functions.
