Easier and faster installation

November 2013 Products & Solutions

Ingersoll Rand has launched CISA FAST devices which feature quicker and more user-friendly installation than previous models. Thanks to recent technical improvements, it now takes half the time to install FAST panic exit devices. This has been achieved thanks to CISA’s commitment to coming up with more functional solutions, principally mounting plates with a quick-lock system for additional locks; flexible steel cable to connect the central mechanism to additional locks; and clip-on cover without fixing screws for quick installation.

The new panic exit devices are interchangeable with the previous New Europa and Sblock versions: changing over from an earlier CISA model to one of the new FAST devices is quick, easy and does not require any action on the door. The innovative design of the FAST device ensures that the new models blend in effortlessly with their surroundings and that different models can be installed in the same environment.

CISA offers two types of panic exit devices, both with different structures and installation requirements: FAST Touch (the rim version) and FAST Push (the mortice version). The rim version is a complete system, designed for ‘as is’ installation, hence guaranteeing low-cost, quick fitting. The mortice version combines a panic exit device with a special panic function mortice-type lock. The result is a complete system delivering maximum anti-burglary security with a beautifully crisp and stylish design.

Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies’ products are distributed by D. Purdue & Sons. Commenting on the new product launch, Warren Purdue, MD at D. Purdue & Sons said: “Servicing the products in the FAST device is also very easy, thanks to the new cover which has no fixing screws: in just a couple of seconds the cover can be disassembled to inspect the door fixings and carry out any lubrication necessary. Unscheduled maintenance is kept to a bare minimum.”
