New distributor for iVaco CCTV products

September 2013 News & Events, Surveillance

Intellistor, a specialist value-added distributor in South Africa focusing on storage solutions, announces the expansion of its current product range to include the distribution of iVaco CCTV products.

“In recent years, prices of analogue CCTV products have dropped significantly and we are seeing a growing demand for affordable surveillance solutions from both the residential and small business markets,” says Ivan Chang, CCTV division director. “Although many CCTV solution providers are promoting IP over analogue, we believe analogue is still the best option today in terms of cost and performance, specifically for home and small business owners with a limited budget.”

iVaco range of 700TVL (960H) analogue cameras delivers a clear HD image allowing users to see fine details such as facial detection and number plate identification when installed at the right distance to the object. When used in combination with iVaco D1 Realtime HDMI supported DVRs, both home and small business owners are able to enjoy high quality surveillance systems with user-friendly central management software and HD viewing and recording images. Best of all, it retails at a third of the price of an IP system.

“We foresee that analogue systems will continue to grow in the South African market and at the same time the demand for the IP system will also increase, due to the decrease in the price of IP cameras, thus lowering costs associated with storing full HD quality images. For this reason, we are in the process of bringing in entry level 1.3M IP cameras and NVR systems designed especially for the South African market. Stay tuned for more from Intellistor and iVaco CCTV.”
