Rule-based alarm management

June 2013 Products & Solutions

The objective of EasyRoster Deployment Manager (ERDM) is to empower operational managers to manage staff deployments at sites in near real-time from the office, and at the same time record time and attendance details when receiving clock events from biometric devices.

Now EasyRoster Software, in collaboration with neaMetrics, has enhanced ERDM by adding new functionality to be used by control room staff to manage site and personnel deployments more efficiently. This new functionality includes the raising of alarm types when specific site requirements and deployment criteria are not met. The following are examples of alarm types that can be raised in advance:

* Over/under postings at sites.

* Nobody deployed at site.

* Incorrect gender deployed.

* Incorrect grades deployed.

* Time critical deployments.

* SMS site notifications of alarms to operational managers.

The ERDM audit trail feature allows you to track the actions taken by controllers when an alarm is raised or dismissed.

Suprema’s ProSync for EasyRoster enables biometric identification of staff at sites and provides live clock event and attendance data to EasyRoster. ERDM’s new alarm interface uses this real-time data to ensure that the control room staff are always up to date and notified as to which sites require attention. This process allows service providers to guarantee the client that their sites will always be covered according to their requirements, and that they have the necessary tools and utilities at hand to track and trace site status via an easy to use and intuitive interface. Control room staff can now operate in a more pro-active manner, where only those sites with problem areas are filtered and displayed for action.

With these new enhancements, site and personnel deployment monitoring just got a lot simpler and much more efficient with ERDM and Prosync for EasyRoster.
