Union products can be supplied in various key control systems, ranging from individually keyed products to complicated grand master key suites. Master keyed is the simplest form of master keying. Each individual lock is operated by its own unique key and, in addition, a control key (master key) operates all the locks in the suite.
Quite simply an A,B,C,D or even E, MKD system is a cascading master key system and operates as follows:
* The keys for A: open lock A, B, C and D.
* The keys for B: open lock B, C and D.
* The keys for C: open lock C and D.
* The keys for D: open lock D only.
The company’s colour-coded modlocks or laminated locks make for easy identification by the end user and are available in a variety of colours, shackle lengths and finishes and can be branded with your logo upon request. Both are also available with Electroless Nickel components on request giving the barrel and components of the lock extra rust resistant properties.
ABCD Master Keyed systems are mainly used by the mines, municipalities and power corporations.
