Centurion’s new MyGSM range seeks to put some of that control back into the hands of home and business owners. This versatile GSM access control range allows users to monitor and control up to eight different electrical devices (depending on the model used) using a mobile phone or landline – from anywhere with network coverage.
For example, a user worried about becoming a sitting duck for hijackers in his driveway can now use his mobile phone to open the electric gate as he approaches, minimising the time that he is stationary. Or an anxious holidaymaker can alleviate some of the uneasiness associated with leaving one’s house unattended for an extended period of time by configuring the device to send her an SMS notification when her house alarm is activated. Said vacationer can even set up the device to send her a text message when someone blocks her infrared gate beams at home.
But the real power of MyGSM lies in its online user interface. In addition to easy administration of an unlimited amount of modules with up to 5000 users each, the portal allows users to set up time-based access control features. Just imagine being able to completely lock down the entrance to your home – at the times that best suit you.
