Extinguishant release control panel

February 2013 Fire & Safety

The Technoswitch TC-3001 is a feature-driven conventional three-zone extinguishant release control panel. It is fully-approved to the stringent EN 12094-1 European standard for fixed fire-fighting systems, as well as EN54 part 2 and 4, the European standard for the fire detection control panel and power supply.

The TC-3001 panel is packed with features, such as a large LCD display, downloadable 1000-event log, four programmable inputs, as well as inputs for external ‘Hold’ and ‘Abort’ buttons. The panel has four relays, fire and fault, as well as two programmable relays with the option of expanding by an additional eight relays via an expansion PC board. Furthermore, the panel has many programmable options including selection of detections zones for gas discharge, it has the options of using ‘double knock’ or single zone for gas discharge. The sounder outputs are all programmable including the option of sounder delay programming for each zone.

The TC-3001 range comes with several options for remote repeater panels which are all connected to the main control panel using a RS-485 network. A total of seven repeater units can be connected to main control panel. For ease and to ensure an aesthetically pleasing installation, the control panel has multiple knockouts for cable entry from the top or back of the panel.

The TC-3001 panel has become the preferred extinguishant control panel for many installers as well as becoming the specified choice for large end-users, such as Vodacom South Africa, many financial institutions and other large computer rooms and telecom centres.
