Anti-keylogging keystroke encryption for Windows 8

1 January 2013 Information Security

StrikeForce Technologies has announced the release of GuardedID Anti-Keylogging Keystroke Encryption software for the Windows 8 operating system. GuardedID overcomes the inadequacies of anti-virus software by encrypting each and every keystroke in real-time, therefore protecting your computer, even if you are infected with keylogging malware.

“The biggest misconception that people have about anti-virus software is that they think it actually protects them from every type of threat, unfortunately, that is just not true,” says Mark L. Kay, CEO of StrikeForce Technologies. “Test results from industry leaders have shown that anti-virus software is only about 25% effective in stopping threats; but you will not hear that from the anti-virus vendors.”

Successful keylogging attacks are making the news on a daily basis, on October 26th 2012 South Carolina’s Governor Nikki Hale announced that the IRS had been hacked, the culprit was a keylogger. “Keyloggers are the most efficient and effective way to steal personal and corporate information,” adds Kay.” In the recent Verizon 2012 Data Breach Investigations Report, Verizon noted that ‘When malware was used to exfiltrate data, 98% of the time it was paired with keylogging functionality.’ Cybercriminals use keyloggers and ransomware to steal identities, access confidential corporate information and perpetrate financial fraud.”

GuardedID’s Keystroke Encryption Software can help put an end to data security breaches. If every computer had keystroke encryption, keyloggers, used in part for virtually every major breach in the last decade, would be rendered useless.
