Wi-Fi security camera with PIR

SMART Surveillance 2025 Smart Home Automation

Ajax Systems has introduced the IndoorCam designed for private households, small offices and small to medium businesses. It combines Wi-Fi flexibility with Ajax’s professional security standards. Featuring a fallback communication channel via the Jeweller radio protocol, built-in AI and encrypted data transmission, IndoorCam ensures reliable monitoring.

Equipped with a 4 MP camera, HDR and IR illumination of up to 8 m the device ensures a rich-in-detail image quality both day and night. The PIR sensor detects movement at a distance of up to 4 m, while built-in AI recognises people, pets, or vehicles. The camera also features a sensitive microphone and speaker for two-way communication with always-active noise suppression and echo cancellation which ensures high-quality audio.

Privacy-first approach

IndoorCam delivers stable connectivity, privacy and seamless integration into the security system. The camera is designed with privacy and security at its essence. All system data is securely stored within the European Union, ensuring compliance with strict EU data protection regulations. Video recordings are encrypted during storage and transmission, preventing unauthorised access or data breaches.

IndoorCam ensures strong privacy protection for end users. Once the system is installed, only the end user has control – no backdoors, no hidden access. Through the privacy tab in the Ajax app users can manage permissions for live streams and recordings, granting or revoking access at any time. Only authorised individuals, as designated by the system administrator, can view visual data.

Advanced video management and storage

Video footage is only as valuable as the ability to access and analyse it efficiently. With the Ajax NVR, Ajax Cloud Storage (available in the near future) and efficient archive navigation, IndoorCam ensures effortless video management, whether for live monitoring or reviewing past events. JetSparrow, a proprietary video transmission protocol designed for instant access to live streams and video archives, delivers high-speed loading, ensuring live videos start instantly and smooth archive navigation without delays.

Communication reliability

For maximum reliability IndoorCam can be connected to an Ajax hub, providing an additional fallback channel that enhances the system’s overall stability. With a Wi-Fi range of up to 500 m in line of sight, IndoorCam maintains a stable connection. If the Wi-Fi connection is lost, the camera continues to transmit events, alarms and photos using Ajax’s secure proprietary radio protocols – Jeweller and Wings. With up to 1700 meters of communication range with a hub, IndoorCam remains connected even in large spaces.

Like other Ajax products, IndoorCam easily integrates into the Ajax security system. The whole integration process is effortless and takes less than 10 minutes. Pairing with the security system takes seconds via a QR code scan. Once connected, the camera’s settings can be managed in desktop and mobile Ajax apps and enhanced intrusion protection can be achieved by working in sync with Ajax detectors. By setting up video scenarios when certain Ajax detectors are triggered, the camera automatically starts recording, providing immediate visual alarm verification.
