ADI Expo returns to South Africa

September saw the return of the ADI Expo to South Africa after a forced absence of two years. The Johannesburg event was held at the Focus Rooms and the Durban event, two days later, at the Southern Sun Elangeni & Maharani.

The expo consisted of table-top displays from many of the distributor’s suppliers, where they demonstrated their latest products and solutions available from the distribution giant in the intrusion, video, access control, battery and door entry arenas.

As normal, there was also a programme of presentations from various suppliers to supplement the exhibition. The range of presentations in Johannesburg covered the benefits of lithium-based batteries, trends in modern security installations, the ability to deliver ‘actionable results’, as well as integrated video surveillance solutions, and the benefits of storage systems designed for video surveillance.

Companies at the event (apart from ADI itself, promoting its services and ‘Digital Branch’) included Allbro, Avigilon, Axis Communications, CDVI, GJD, Assa Abloy (HID Global), Hikvision, Power Revolution Technologies, Qolsys, Takex and Western Digital. They all had representatives on hand to talk about and demonstrate their latest products and solutions available.
