Estate protection With SecuVue

As criminal activity increases in South Africa and thieves become smarter, the need for a comprehensive, integrated security approach in estates is essential. It has become crucial for estates to be able to manage security from a single platform, which allows them to control access for visitors and contractors. Most importantly, the single security platform should assist control room users in managing alerts more effectively and efficiently, saving time and utilising resources better.

Secutel Technologies offers SecuVue, a locally manufactured solution that uses cloud-based video analytics to make ordinary CCTV cameras intelligent. Immediately, as an object moves into a defined area, an event is recorded which can be dealt with by the control room operators using appropriate SOPs.

False alarms are reduced significantly with cameras deployed in appropriate areas within the estate. Control room operators will be able to respond and make informed decisions on exceptions and notify the response company if there is a possible threat.

In addition to making ordinary cameras intelligent, the SecuVue solution offers a licence plate recognition (LPR) analytical feature. The LPR technology can be used by control room operators to identify vehicles that should not be in an estate and pick up vehicles that have been reported stolen.

SecuVue also offers a facial collection and recognition feature that can help and identify people of interest. When a flagged person is identified an event will be raised to the monitoring team making them aware of the individual.
