Olarm available across South Africa from Elvey

Issue 1 2022 Products & Solutions

Olarm and Elvey have announced a new partnership, with Elvey now stocking the Olarm range of security products throughout South Africa. Elvey's distribution network in the local market extends Olarm’s footprint. Olarm has also recently announced an integration with Nemtek to manage and monitor electric fences.

"We have seen incredible growth as the result of a dynamic customer-focused value proposition, the ability of our products to integrate across multiple security systems, our support and the ease-of-use of the Olarm app," says Tom Schoon, Olarm partnership manager.

"Our partnership with Elvey will enable us to reach a much broader base of potential customers who need our products and services."

Olarm provides you with control of your alarm systems and electric fences via the Olarm app on your smartphone. The reliable, easy-to-install, ready-to-go smart security app puts the power in your hands, anytime and anywhere.

The Olarm PRO device is a multi-network smart communicator with Wi-Fi and two Olarm fully managed and RICA'd SIM cards providing customers with three different communication channels for high network reliability. The Olarm PRO makes your security smart by enabling your already installed alarms and fences to be connected to the Olarm smart app, letting end-users manage their security more effectively while reducing the load of false alarms on control rooms.

The majority of leading alarm panels are supported by Olarm PRO. Features include your alarm status, power status, arming, disarming, bypassing zones and more from wherever you are.

After connecting the Olarm PRO to the Nemtek electric fence energiser and pairing it with the Olarm app, users will be able to remotely perform functions such as turning the fence on or off, bypassing zones, changing voltage settings and receiving notifications when an alarm triggers.

"We have seen the Olarm and Nemtek integration already being used in places we didn't expect. Customers have found it useful to deactivate the fence when not at home to enable garden services to trim foliage and also in farming applications to monitor possible breaches and ensure fence health and integrity," says Justin Zondagh, Olarm CTO.

The Olarm app offers peace of mind giving you remote control and management of the security systems of multiple properties via your smartphone. You can also add trusted family members, friends or nominated staff to the app and the ability to grant temporary access to clients of guest houses or Airbnbs.

For monitoring, the alarm signals can be routed to control rooms via Contact ID or be managed from within Olarm's Command Centre monitoring and reaction management solution. Panic button functionality in the app also gives users peace of mind that they have direct access to rapid response services.

The Olarm app is available free on Apple App Store and Google Play Store (Huawei AppGallery launching March 2022).

Installation of the Olarm PRO is a breeze as minimal configuration is required thanks to Olarm's innovative auto-detection allowing for the same Olarm PRO model to be used across a range of alarm panels and energisers.

Olarm products are available in Elvey branches from March 2022.
