GSS Group has launched new products relating to power usage and solar power. The basic features are compact designs, units which compensate for power outages and load-shedding conditions in various areas in Africa. The SolarCaddy unit consists of a polycrystalline photovoltaic module, 40 W solar panel with a retrofit solar controller assembly, conditioned for AGM battery, 8 Ah 12 V gel battery and 18 Ah 12 V deep cycle battery.
The company also has a new programmable reliable energy power supply unit that has a stylish enclosure, a control board and an 8 Ah gel battery. The unique PowerCaddy system is used to combat power outage crises which enables an extension of a standby period and is parallel with another device’s battery when power interruptions occur. Once the power has been restored, the unit will disconnect automatically from the connected devices and will proceed to fast charge the power pack’s battery which will then restore energy for the next power outage.
