Vox receives internationally accredited certification

Issue 8 2021 News & Events

Vox recently implemented and received ISO 9001 certification as a way of improving its internal management systems to be more profitable, efficient and productive.

As a result of the implementation and certification to ISO 9001, Vox significantly improved its internal management systems. Profitability, efficiency and productivity all improved as a result of certification. It has increased client satisfaction with exceptional response, which has caused a reduction in client churn and an increase in the client acquisitions rate.

Vox provides a wide range of products including data and voice, as well as cloud, business collaboration and conferencing tools that promote intelligent solutions that connect South Africans to the world. The company supports entrepreneurs, customers and commerce, whilst practicing values of integrity, choice and service excellence in all of its dealings.

Customer driven

“Our journey towards ISO 9001 certification was one of maturity. We clarified our strategy and we raised our standard. The efforts brought our teams closer together and aligned us around common goals. Internally, this improved team cohesion. Externally it made our services more appealing and competitive. Achieving the certification gave the organisation a sense of great pride.

The Vox team accepts the BSI stamp of approval for high-quality products and services as well as information security with its ISO 9001 and ISO/ISE 27001 certifications.

“We strive to provide the most advanced telecommunications products and services in the South African market. As a result, we need to ensure that our internal processes are structured and that our products and services are delivered at a high level continuously to achieve this goal.

“The continual investment in employee competence is a major contributor to staff morale, retaining key resources and delivering excellent service. Implementing the delivery of quality services, not only ensures the retainment of existing customers, but also increases sales. The advantages and obvious impact of the ISO 9001 standard to the Vox Core business, resulted in the expansion of the Quality scope to the greater organisation,” says Vox quality assurance manager, Andries Coetzee.

Global acceptance

The ISO 9001 certification was awarded by the internationally recognised authority in ISO certification, the British Standards Institute South Africa (BSI), which has been helping businesses improve and maintain high standards for over 100 years.

In May this year Vox also accepted certification for the coveted ISO/ISE 27001 Information Security Management which was a two-year long (and continuous) process to ensure continued commitment to the protection and management of information assets, while reducing the risk of cyber-attacks against the company and its customers.

The ISO 27001 certification increased the reliability and security of its systems and information. It improved customer confidence and increased business resilience. Vox was able to properly align with customer requirements to identify and manage risks. Both ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 have given the company a competitive edge in the market.

“BSI is wholly-independent, which means that they can be totally objective in testing and certification. This gives our assessments more authority than those of an organisation that has a vested interest in promoting its members.”
