Reliable detection 24 x 7

Residential Security Handbook 2021: Secure Living Residential Estate (Industry)

Axis thermal cameras outperform a visual camera in dark scenes and are a great tool for detecting people and objects in 24 x 7 surveillance, from pitch black areas to a sunlit parking lot.

The AXIS Q1951-E delivers a high-quality thermal video stream for reliable detection. It is ideal for perimeter security and with a powerful analytics platform, it’s easy to add third-party analytics. Built-in cybersecurity features prevent unauthorised access and safeguard your system.

For instance, Axis Edge Vault protects your Axis device ID and simplifies authorisation of Axis products on your network. The AXIS Q1951-E also includes a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) that is FIPS 140-2 level 2 certified. Furthermore, this halogen-free, compact camera is robust and suitable even for harsh conditions.

The analytics included are AXIS Motion Guard, AXIS Fence Guard, AXIS Loitering Guard, AXIS Video Motion Detection, active tampering alarm and audio detection.

It is also supported by AXIS Perimeter Defender with AI-based functionality. AXIS Perimeter Defender gives you an edge where security starts – at the perimeter of your facilities. The video analytics application, together with Axis network cameras, provides a highly effective system that automatically detects and responds to people and vehicles intruding on your property.

AXIS Perimeter Defender is designed to detect moving people and vehicles. Because it can classify people and vehicles, you can select if you want to detect only people or vehicles, or both. Axis Perimeter Defender is a mature, edge-based intelligent intrusion analytic. The new version is the third generation and even though it was already known for limiting false alarms, the latest machine-learning enabled version is even better. The AI version also now supports multiple ground levels or uneven ground extremely well with the same camera, previously this was not possible. The result is an even better solution with higher performance at the same cost as before.
