Jack Edery takes on BDM role for Pima Electronic Systems

Issue 3 2020 News & Events

Pima Electronic Systems, manufacturer of the well-known PIMA range of alarms and associated products, has appointed Jack Edery as country business development manager.

Edery says his role will be assisting Pima in developing the local market and identifying new prospects in the region. He will also be focused on assisting customers and potential customers in gaining a better understanding of the products Pima offers, and resolving any issues they may have.

He will also be assisting in marketing efforts with Pima’s distributor in South Africa, ADI Global Distribution. ADI and Edery recently completed a number of Pima launch events in Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria and Johannesburg to introduce the latest products from the company to the local market.

Pima sees South Africa as a growth market and intends to invest and expand its footprint in the country. Edery says that in time this will include improving its local technical and sales support offerings.

The timing of the appointment coincides with the local launch of Pima’s Force Series. Edery says these new alarm systems have been dramatically improved to stand head-and-shoulders above competitors.

The system is also very stable as it has been deployed in thousands of locations overseas over the past two years without any issues.

“We’re bringing this alarm system into South Africa as a proven product that has paid its dues in thousands of installations,” notes Edery. “In addition, the system is ICASA approved and ready to be installed; we have stock in the country and have numerous installers trained up to take advantage of the features and functionality of the Force Series.”

Among the new features Edery refers to is the ease of installation of the systems, the advanced control panel functions such as integrated help, power diagnostics, remote configuration and more. Users can also connect cameras (Pima’s PIR/camera sensor or third-party cameras) to the control panel for video verification purposes. The PIMAlink 3.0 smartphone app has also been released to manage installations and receive notifications of alarms, allowing users to control their alarms from anywhere.
