The HP DesignJet scanner 4200 has intuitive software that lets one scan, copy and print at the touch of a button. The graphical interface of the touch screen display takes the user through each step of the scanning process. The colour calibration between the HP scanning system and hp large format printer ensures consistency between originals and copies.

The DesignJet scanner 4200 can produce colour and black-and-white scans from large format documents up to 106,7 mm (42 inches) wide and up to 1,52 mm (0,06") thick, therefore one can handle oversized and heavyweight cardboard originals. The user can create electronic copies of large documents with a scan resolution of 424 dpi optical and 2400 dpi enhanced, and a 0,15% line accuracy to reproduce the originals precisely, as well as archive the scanned files on CD with the included CD writer or anywhere on a network.
