EAO has announced that its Series 44 range of industrial control switches meet the latest RoHS directive, which restricts the use of hazardous substances in electronic equipment. The plastic and contact materials of the Series 44 range of 22,5 and 30,5 mm switches are free of cadmium-based pigments, while the actuators, front/base adapters and switching elements are halogen-free.

EAO's Series 44 is a robust range that is protected to IP65 from the front as standard, or alternatively for extreme environmental conditions, can be fitted with a protective silicon cap for a fast and simple upgrade to IP67. The Series 44 will resist high levels of shock and vibration which makes it well suited to many applications in the machinery, process-control, panel building and lifting and moving markets.

The Series 44 range is rated at 500 V a.c. (10 A) and features screw terminals with openings to guide a screwdriver, ensuring safety. The switching elements feature high-quality, gold-plated silver, self-cleaning, double-breaking spring contacts, which are stackable.

The modular Series 44 range includes illuminated and non-illuminated pushbuttons and indicators, interlocking pushbuttons, Emergency-stop safety switches, joysticks, potentiometers and rotary and keylock switches, available with a broad selection of accessories including protective front rings, protective caps, blind plugs, enclosures and legend plates.
