Agilent has released its N1911A P-Series single channel power meter and N1912A P-Series dual channel power meter that provides peak, peak-to-average ratio, average power, rise time, fall time, maximum power, minimum power and statistical data of wideband signals (30 MHz video bandwidth) with 100 MSa/s continuous sampling. Used with the N192XA wideband power sensors, they offer a measurement frequency range up to 40 GHz with calibration-free measurements, and are backwards-compatible with the 8480 and E-Series power sensors. Versatile connectivity with USB, LAN and GPIB is standard.
The N192XA sensors provide calibration-free power measurements by integrating a DC reference source and switching circuits into the power sensor. This enables engineers to calibrate the sensor while connected to the DUT. Since zeroing and calibration are performed without the need to remove the sensor from the DUT, this feature eliminates the multiple connections associated with using an external calibration source, minimising connector wear, test-time and measurement uncertainty.
