PanelView terminal line expanded

21 April 2004 Computer/Embedded Technology Access Control & Identity Management Products & Solutions

Two new compact operator interfaces, the Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 400 and PanelView Plus 600 terminals offer all of the standard pre-configured elements available with the company's larger PanelView Plus models, but in a smaller size.

According to the company, in addition to their space- and cost-efficient features, the terminals provide users with advanced functionality, including animation, trending, data logging, and object math and logic expressions. These are all valuable for improving operator efficiency, optimising processes, and diagnosing problems virtually anywhere on the plant floor.

PanelView Plus 400 and 600 terminals offer a FSTN display that provides 32 levels of grey scaling at 320 x 240 QVGA resolution. For colour applications, the PanelView Plus 600 also features an optional colour active matrix TFT at 320 x 240 QVGA resolution. All new models feature keypad input terminals for numeric entry, screen navigation and programmable function keys.

For distributed or complex applications requiring networked PLC communications, the terminals are available with RS232, onboard Ethernet networking and an interface that allows simultaneous communications with multiple networks. Users can also add optional communication modules for connectivity for DH-485, DH+ and remote I/O networks.
