Microchip's new MCP62x5 op-amp devices enable a standard two-stage amplifier signal chain to be implemented in an eight-lead package with a power-saving chip select. These devices are internally connected rail-to-rail input/output, single-ended operational amplifiers, offering three levels of gain bandwidth product (GBWP).
The MCP6275 has a 2 MHz-gain bandwidth and operates at 5,5 to 2,0 V with a supply current of 165 µA. Meanwhile, the MCP6285 has a 5 MHz-gain bandwidth, operates at 5,5 to 2,2 V and has a supply current of 450 µA. The MCP6295 has a 10 MHz-gain bandwidth, operates at 5,5 to 2,4 V and has a supply current of 1,0 mA.
The different product options allow the designer to optimise power consumption versus GBWP for their application, and the low overall power consumption makes the devices ideal for applications such as sensors, instrumentation and battery-operated products. They are specified over -40 to +125°C, and come in 8-lead MSOP, SOIC and PDIP packages.
