Portable non-contact thermometers from Raytek have been enhanced by the inclusion of IS-certified models in the different series of portable units. Now, infrared non-contact thermometry can be used in hazardous areas such as petrochemical plants, mines, refineries, pumping stations and anywhere where IS certification is required for monitoring instruments.
The additions to the range all have lasers to simplify aiming, and all have been certified intrinsically safe Ex ia IIC T4. The Ex-MP4 covers a temperature range of -18 to 275°C, the ST-80IS from -30 to 760°C and the Ex-MX2 from -30 to 900°C. The digital display provides the accurate surface temperature in less than 0,5 seconds.
Monitoring temperatures prevent minor problems from becoming serious, and gives more time to fix them. These portable non-contact units permit safe monitoring without interfering with the operation of the equipment.
