SIA Gold Award recognises bravery of crime monitor

Mduduzi Mazibuko received his SIA Gold Award from the chairman of SIA, Sbu Ncube, who is also the executive chairman of Enforce Security Services.

Enforce crime monitor, Mduduzi Mazibuko, was recognised at the annual Security Industry Alliance (SIA) Awards Ceremony for his bravery and skill in assisting the SAPS in the chase and arrest of a suspect as well as the recovery of R20 000.

During a routine patrol on the corner of Monty Naicker Road and Dorothy Nyembe Street in central Durban, Mduduzi noticed a male suspect being chased by the Metro Police. He immediately gave chase and apprehended the male suspect.

While handing him over to the Metro Police, a complainant approached the scene and identified the suspect as the person who had robbed him of R20 000. Upon searching the suspect, the stolen cash was recovered and charges laid with the Durban Central SAPS.
