Highlighting their support for skills development, representatives of Technology Olympiad sponsor, Autodesk, a leading design technology company, got to know future South African engineers better when they attended the recent Technology Olympiad prize-giving. The winning pair who designed the most effective device, which shoots out table tennis balls, are Stutterheim High School grade 10 and 9 pupils, David Scott and Jenna Keightley.

Autodesk is looking at boosting the R10 000 sponsorship it made in 2003 by increasing its involvement in the programme. The Olympiad is organised under the auspices of the South African Institution of Mechanical Engineering.
